Job DescriptionCarlisle Construction Materials (CCM), is a global leader in the building materials industry. We've been around since 1917. In just the past six years, our company has grown by nearly 70%.We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team in Phoenix, AZ. Our Maintenance Technicians maintain and repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment. They are also responsible for the execution of capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility.This position operates Monday through Friday and includes frequent overtime and weekend shifts.Day Shift: 5:30am-2:00pmJob Responsibilities:Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance workStart machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problemsInspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repairLubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific proceduresInstall, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specificationsDismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoistsRecord production, repair, and machine maintenance informationRead work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenanceSet up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operationsTransport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dolliesCollect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areasClean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipmentSkills/Requirements:Education - High School diploma or GED requiredAt least 2 years of related maintenance experiencePrevious experience in the following maintenance areas preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boilerKnowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measuresKnowledge of various hand and power toolsPrior experience operating a forkliftAbility to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized informationEffective communication and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of basic math, reading, and writing skillsAbility to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situationsAbility to adhere to all safety protocols and company policiesMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, education verification (if applicable), reference check, and physical abilities test (PAT).Physical Demands:For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds. There is a repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds.
