Under general supervision, incumbents are responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities, machinery and equipment on company premises. Duties typically include performing refurbishment of buildings and facilities, preventative and reparative maintenance of buildings, facilities, machinery and equipment, work related to electric maintenance, mechanics, hydraulics, carpentry and masonry, changing, cleaning, and/or repairing and installing pieces, components and equipment. An experienced technician requires previous experience directly related to the maintenance of facilities and/or equipment. Work is typically routine or follows standard procedures under direct supervision.

Major Accountability:

  • Conducts periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.
  • PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic trouble shooting.
  • Blueprint reading.
  • Primary emphasis is on performance of a variety of maintenance tasks.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Performs refurbishment of buildings and facilities.
  • Preventative and reparative maintenance of buildings, facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Work related to electric maintenance, mechanics, hydraulics, carpentry and masonry, changing, cleaning, and/or repairing and installing pieces, components, and equipment.
Specialized Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Strong dedication to safety and safe workplace practices.
  • 2 to 4 years of Maintenance experience required.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in one or more of the following areas: electric maintenance, mechanics, hydraulics, carpentry, or masonry.
  • Must pass a written skills evaluation.
