F&G is looking to hire for a Manager, Corporate Events

The Manager, Corporate Events position will be a leader in creating effective, creative, and memorable meetings and events for F&G. This position will be responsible for all phases of the event-lifecycle and will primarily partner with our retail business to develop client facing meetings that strategically differentiate F&G in our industry. This position will also have responsibility to lead internal events.

The Manager, Corporate Events will be a part of our Corporate Marketing Team and will report to the Director, Corporate Events.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Retail Marketing and Sales Distribution to support the successful execution of client facing events and conference participation.
  • Think strategically to build events that ensure the F&G experience is unique and stands out in our industry.
  • Assess and make recommendations that enhance the overall client experience through presentation style, venues, networking opportunities and more.
  • Manage all phases of the event life-cyle including sourcing, contracting, registration, logistics, onsite execution, and financials.
  • Partner with Vendor Management and Strategic Sourcing to ensure all vendor engagement is managed through the approved process to manage and mitigate risk.
  • Manage a significant event budget with a keen eye on cost savings and good stewardship of resources.
  • Proactively consider opportunities for ongoing improvement of the advisor experience
  • Lead internal events as needed to elevate and ensure a successful outcome. Programs can range from simple to high touch requiring a high degree of discretion and professional approach.

Experience & Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience managing corporate events and conferences.
  • International experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Fluent in event software to build and manage event registration platforms.
  • Ability to effectively develop and implement new processes.
  • Collaborative and team oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Stays in touch with industry best practices and uses them continually improve our event process and outpul.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills.
  • Customer first mind-set.
  • Able to collaborate with a wide range of teams, open to feedback and seeks input from others.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple long-term projects and the day-to-day.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products, experience with event management and various web platforms to support registration and onsite experiences, have an appreciation of brand standards.
  • Embraces and demonstrates F&G's cultural values.

  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Travel required (minimum of 25%)
  • Comfortable in a flexible working environment, working with remote teams and the ability to work remotely and/or from our Des Moines, IA office.
