Reporting to the Senior Director of Employee Engagement, The HR Business Partner (HRBP) works as part of our highly-collaborative corporate HR team to strategically and proactively provide HR support and guidance to our senior leaders in the field, across multiple locations and divisions.

The ideal candidate will be flexible in their approach to problem-solving, comfortably exercising a high level of emotional intelligence, business literacy and critical thinking. They will take initiative to seize opportunities for improvement and confidently navigate the grey, exercising sound judgement while providing guidance related to all HR generalist areas.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide human resources advice and leadership to the Division and Division president in designated divisions and corporate departments
  • Consistently interpret and apply HR policy and guidance across the organization
  • Help drive the organization's efforts measuring the employee experience journey, specifically employee engagement and exit data while assisting leaders with philosophy, tools, results, and action planning
  • Manage the Talent Acquisition specialist role and recruiting processes for assigned divisions, including background check compliance/review
  • Provide training and support related to HR activities
  • Establish a regular cadence of connection with division and corporate department leaders to proactively address any HR concerns, mitigating risk and escalation
  • Travel to divisions to meet and learn employees, learn culture, support employee base
  • Evaluate trends and metrics in partnership with Division Presidents and Corporate HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies that drive the company results
  • Administer talent management programs including but not limited to performance management and succession and talent planning
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective and thorough investigations
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed.
  • Provides day to day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • Partner with compensation to finalize details for new hires, promotions, transfers.
  • May assist employees with relocation and related HR matters.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Ability to learn HRIS system, extract information from the system for divisions and evaluate data to help drive human capital needs
  • Identify training needs for business units and partner with functional leaders to address
  • Champion inclusion and diversity efforts across the organization, particularly related to recruiting and development

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of increasing and in-depth Human Resources experience, preferably industry related
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws, and compensation practices

Technical Knowledge & Experience

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • Advanced computer proficiency
  • Ability to navigate HRIS system and recruitment software

Physical Requirements

  • Fast-paced general office environment; flexibility to work remotely part-time
  • Ability to travel 20%
  • Ability to lift 20-pound boxes.
  • Some weekend or holiday work may be necessary based on business/employee needs
