Position: Manager II, Advanced Analytics

Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030

Duties: Provide guidance to directors and advise on next steps based on insights, objectives, and research. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine purchase quantities, ordering frequency, safety stock, and inventory levels. Analyze upcoming deliveries based on demand forecast, inventory levels, and in-transit orders to determine courses of action. Communicate with management deviations from standards and create tools for constant monitoring. Recommend methods for optimizing utilization of space and throughput at Walmart Fulfillment Centers. Review delivery schedules, sales estimates, and capacity constraints to route orders to available warehouses where customer Service Level is maximized. Analyze statistical data and product specifications to identify potential outliers and incompatibilities. Build reports encompassing Walmart's supply chain, including open purchase orders, cube utilization across the network, vendor lead times, and Key Performance Indicators based on actual and projected sales. Use statistical and systems engineering tools to perform ad-hoc analyses on Walmart Supply's Chain. Study inbound and outbound sequences to identify opportunities that reduce costs associated with facility utilization. Use computational tools and database querying to extract information, perform the relevant analyses, and communicate effectively with leadership. Support other team members in the use of analytics and code to solve business problems. This position does not supervise other employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience creating dashboards using Business Intelligence tools, including Shiny, Dash, Looker, Tableau, and Power BI. Experience performing statistical analysis, including confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, and goodness of fit. Experience programming in Python and R to perform Extract, Transform, and Load operations, organize data, create web applications, and execute algorithms to automate tasks. Experience coding in SQL to define databases, tables, fields, and functional dependencies and to query information efficiently for business purposes. Experience with supply chain management, including the establishment of inventory policies, service levels, Economic Order Quantity, safety stock, lead time, and reorder point. Experience defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to establish baseline performance and assess success of measures and improvement. Experience modeling business problems in mathematical terms, and applying concepts of likelihood estimation, variance, and classification/regression techniques to influence the decision-making process. Experience measuring data quality, including anomaly detection, imputation, and visualization. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint using functions, pivot tables, Macros, data tables, cross-referencing, integration with external sources, and data structuring functions.
