Summary:

The purpose of this role is to support the Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD) organization from a Risk Management and Compliance perspective. This role will be a member of the Technology Risk Management & Compliance (TRM&C) leadership team and will be accountable for the technology aspects of Quality and Risk Management activities and services for the following global Zoetis Tech & Digital functional areas:

  • ZTD - Veterinary Medicine Research & Development (VMRD)
  • ZTD - Commercial Genetics
  • ZTD - Techology Risk Management (Information Security, Forensics & Threat Inteligence)
  • Management of ZTD's Process Framework and Qualification processes

This role will be also responsible to develop and maintain Personnel Qualification program for ZTD.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business quality and ZTD functional areas so high-quality IT solutions are developed and deployed to meet customer needs, while adhering to applicable regulatory and internal policies & procedures
  • Participate in projects and compliance initiatives representing Risk Management & Compliance
  • Provide Compliance Services to colleagues regarding regulatory (GxP) and Data Privacy compliance for projects and ongoing service delivery
  • Approve Deliverables based on Zoetis Solution Delivery Lifecycle or relevant risk-based process work with business and ZTD to identify compliance gaps, conduct risk assessments and define and implement remediation plans
  • Support the analysis of quality data & implementing data integrity principles for VMRD & Commercial Genetics operations in order to identify and lead targeted continuous improvement efforts to improve operational process effectiveness
  • Enable operational controls alignment within the functional areas focus on segregation of duties, change management and harmonized release management process
  • Participate in conducting and designing functional specific assessments, based on standard RM&C governance, to ensure adherence to processes and controls
  • Participate in routine reporting on the state of compliance within each functional areas of support
  • Identify and work with internal TRM&C operations and ZTD organization to implement KPIs, metrics and standard reports used to identify service improvement opportunities
  • Assures audit awareness & preparedness ofoperations and provide coaching / guidance as a compliance expert
  • Responsible for managing ZTD's process framework and qualification processes

Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Business Administration or Computer Sciences
  • Formal training and/or experience in FDA regulations & computer system validation space highly desired
  • 5+ years of experience in GXP Compliance
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Expert in principles, theories and concepts of regulatory compliance, and of pharmaceutical regulations; including industry knowledge of implementing controls within processes and tools
  • Be able to take a plan, direct the team and efficiently deliver it
  • Demonstrated skills for independently guiding quality and compliance activities during system development and implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate with individuals and groups at multiple levels across the organization
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work in an unstructured environment
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Senior level experience and understanding of relevant regulations, laws and policies across multiple IT compliance domains (GxP, Privacy, InfoSec, etc.) gained from career experience
  • Proven ability to define and implement IT controls
  • Strategic thinking, leadership and relationship management with a demonstrated ability to operate at senior levels of a large international corporation
