The Manager, Paid Search & SEO oversees all planning and execution for paid search and SEO initiatives. This position creates plans to drive ad effectiveness, customer value, and business results, with the ability to quickly iterate and evolve those plans to meet changing business needs. This role manages multiple initiatives simultaneously and ensures best-in-class paid search and organic search optimization, delivery, and performance results.

This role is skilled at working with diverse, cross-functional stakeholder groups and managing 3rd party vendors, as well as translating SEM and SEO in positive, quantifiable business outcomes. Additionally, this position analyzes data and leverages their expertise to drive continuous improvement and provide specialized expertise and guidance to business stakeholders and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

Paid Search (SEM)

  • Manage all planning and execution for paid search campaigns across business divisions and units
  • Create thoughtful, data-driven pay-per-click (PPC) plans that support key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives with various strategies and tactics
  • Drive paid search innovation via continuous optimization and new offerings such as Google Shopping
  • Accountable for paid search budget management and forecasting
  • Manage and oversee reporting and read-outs to the business
  • Drive continuous improvements and exercise judgement to meet business needs

Organic Search (SEO)

  • Manage SEO initiatives across business divisions and units
  • Create thoughtful, data-driven SEO plans that support key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives with various strategies and tactics
  • Drive organic search innovation via continuous optimization and new offerings such as Schema, alt tags, and content
  • Manage and oversee reporting and read-outs to the business
  • Continually improve website SEO with an eye toward "raising the bar" on keyword rank and authority
  • Manage communication with both internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure optimal SEO understanding and project delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • A minimum 7 years' experience managing search initiatives for mid-to-large organizations and/or agencies
  • Google Adwords Certification required
  • Google Shopping and Google Analytics Certifications preferred

Software/Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of paid and organic search KPIs required
  • Proficiency with Google Adwords required
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) required
  • Working knowledge of enterprise SEO platforms (Conductor, Brightedge) preferred
  • Working knowledge of Tag Management Platforms (Tealium, GTM) preferred
