The Portfolio & Change Manager will provide both administrative and high-level project coordination and execution duties for multiple members of Data Science & AI.

What you'll do

The role will involve executive level contact globally, in a dynamic and complex business environment. The Portfolio & Change Manager is proactive and creative, adding value by ensuring the Portfolio & Change Management team can deliver on the Data Science & AI vision, "By 2025, data science and AI will have transformed R&D, enabling AZ to accelerate the delivery of the most life changing medicines to patients.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Works with DS&AI Portfolio Managers and Project Leads to ensure efficient and effective management of project, program and portfolio information across multiple departments in DS&AI
• Support slide preparation for Portfolio Reviews, Leadership Team meetings and Stakeholder Engagement Sessions
• Works with DS&AI Change Management team to deliver change management strategies including training, communications and stakeholder engagements
• Meeting planning and facilitation; develop meeting agendas, distribute meeting notes, manage actions
• Creates progress reports to track delivery to time, cost and quality
• Enable teams by ensuring timely access to critical data and systems
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure the effective capturing of business requirements and commitment to project/program objectives
• Champions process simplification and standardization across DS&AI

Essential for the role

• Excellent organizational, forward-planning, team working and stakeholder leadership skills with a strong attention to detail. Bachelor degree and an understanding pharmaceuticals or experience in science, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals
• Strong and demonstrable experience in leveraging project management tools to lead projects
• Understanding of Project Management techniques, tools and principles; experience in project management methodologies
• Ability to work collaboratively, to manage/prioritize multiple projects from conception to completion
• Demonstrate flexibility/willingness to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities.
• Professional, enthusiastic and proactive approach with ability to independently manage a diverse workload.
• Excellent oral and written communication, analytical skills, organizational and problem solving skills
• Proven experience and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS teams and OneNote.

Desirable for the role

• Experience of working in a global organization with complex/geographical context.
• Bachelor degree with an understanding pharmaceuticals or a minimum of 6 years of required experience in science, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals
• Professional Certification: PMP, Prince 2, Agile or ProSci
• Experience working on Change Management projects
• Experience working in Agile methodology
• An understanding of pharmaceutical business
• Experience develop and delivering formal communications
