Job Description PURPOSE AND SCOPE:The Manager, School Partnerships is responsible for managing college, high school, and business relations. Coordinates dual credit and other major projects with area high schools which includes P-16 initiatives, testing, and workforce programs. Under the direction of Director, works with deans, department chairs, various LSC departments, and high school personnel to ensure the instructional quality of dual credit programs and other school partnerships. Assists with development, implementation, marketing, and evaluation of dual credit and other school partnerships. Participates in recruitment efforts and serves as a subject matter expert for the college's dual credit program and other school partnerships. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Assists the Director in developing guidelines for dual credit offerings for both college and high school personnel
  2. Provides leadership in informing high school and college participants of dual credit rules and policies; ensures that necessary documentation and agreements are kept current and takes a lead role in communicating changes to counselors and facultyCoordinates periodic professional development and campus visits for school counselors, dual credit faculty, and other school personnel and represents the college at ISD functions and LSCS meetingsFacilitates the expansion of course offerings (course crosswalk processes) and creates and analyzes enrollment reports in Microsoft Excel for dual credit and dual enrollment with high schoolsMonitors the building of the dual credit class sections, course textbooks, and volunteer processes (PID and ePars requests) for counselors and learning support personnel on the high school campusResearches and implements best practices of innovative dual credit and other school partnerships for continuous improvementActs as a liaison with the Student Services staff to help coordinate recruitment, admissions, and testing at area high schools as well to develop forms and guidelines for dual credit with home schooled studentsInvestigates dual credit concerns and issues to communicate to Director to resolve with the school partner and/or college administration
  3. Works with College Relations to develop marketing materials.
  4. Hires, supervises and evaluates full-time and part-time support staff
  5. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    Must maintain current knowledge of academic and technical curriculum and instruction and apply that knowledge to all activities

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
    Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Specialization in field
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Salary

Hiring salary range is $46,300 - $53,245

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.
