Job Summary:

Provide strategic leadership for, and tactical management of, the Test Development Department. Lead the development of global product test strategies and requirements for ZOLL products both during and after their development and release, including at international partners. Learn, disseminate, and deploy modern test technologies and industry best practices to support cost effective test strategies at ZOLL. Responsible for staffing, supervision, and performance of the Test Development Department. Initiate and assign project as necessary to meet organizational objectives. Manage qualitative and quantitative aspects of work performed by department members. Provide guidance as required to develop schedules and budgets, and to complete projects according to plan.

Essential Functions:

  • 25% Leadership and Development of Test Development Personnel
  • 25% Project Management, Scheduling, and Resource Allocation
  • 25% Problem Resolution and Test/Quality/OEE Metrics and Improvements
  • 15% Development of Test Strategy, Requirements, Policies, and Procedures
  • 10%Other duties as required

Skill Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of analog, digital and high voltage circuit design.
  • Working knowledge of structured test software platforms and software design.
  • Proficient in test software development, preferably with LabView and TestStand.
  • Proficient in most common PC based applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge and experience with FDA QSR requirements for Class 2 & 3 medical devices.
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical techniques.

Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required, MSEE or MBA preferred.
  • 3 - 5+ years of engineering management experience required, 5-10 years preferred
  • 3 - 5+ years of project management experience or equivalent education or certification
  • 10+ years of direct experience in test engineering and development in an electro-mechanical assembly environment including ICT, Functional Test and Reliability Test (HALT, HASS)
