Overview

Summary:
Responsible for managing day-to-day operations of mitigating credit risk on collateral the company receives and monitoring collateral to optimize the company's positions. Responsibilities include reporting on statutory deposits, Special California Deposits, overall our collateral positions company wide, compliance review of current Trusts in place, and monitoring collateral company wide. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  1. Report to the Global Treasurer


  1. Report the Company's collateral positons and report on Trusts from all AmTrust companies, to mitigate the risks and confirm we are always fully collateralized


  1. Perform quarterly credit risk tests on various trusts within for U.S. and UK entities


  1. Responsible to report Letters of Credit posted for Reinsurance and Schedule F purposes on a quarterly basis for financial reporting. Review and approve bank fees regarding the Letters of credit.


  1. Update and manage the Letters of credit inventory AmTrust receives from various reinsurance companies and report to the reinsurance team to populate the Ceded Reserve report.


  1. Update and optimize collateral positions for statutory deposits, SCASP deposits for all US entities. Work hand in hand with the investments group to provide eligible securities to each state to maintain our collateral requirement.


  1. Develop and maintain relationships with all the state Treasurer offices


  1. Respond to internal and external audit requests and lead SOX reviews.


  1. Provide quarterly collateral inventory report companywide on all collateral posted, received, and intercompany collateral
  2. Monitor and analyze cash levels in real estate operating accounts to confirm AIIL real estate loans are being covered on a quarterly basis.


  1. Develop and manage FHLB program and relationship to borrow cash as needed. Provide weekly report on FHLB eligible securities across various accounts


  1. Assist in creating Treasury department presentations.


  1. Perform other treasury administration projects as assigned.


  1. Assist in the development of treasury/collateral policies and procedures and ensure that compliance is maintained.
  1. Keeps current with market trends and demands.


  1. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting OR equivalent education required.


  • 5-7 years related experience.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.


  • Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.


  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with superior problem-solving ability.


  • Strong familiarity with ERP (Oracle).


  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems, e.g., Oracle


Preferred:
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred.
