The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the engineering support of manufacturing operations to develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge in product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Developing, evaluating, improving and documenting manufacturing processes.
  • Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction and throughput.
  • Providing engineering support in production departments to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Evaluate non-conformity causes and report results and corrective actions.
  • Provide engineering design support for machine fixturing, tooling, material handling equipment and safety devices.
  • Assist department managers with projects and/or provide technical advice.
  • Communicate project updates and present project results.
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.

Your Profile:
  • 4-year degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Materials Engineering
  • 2 years work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Experience leading work groups and/or supervision
  • Experience with general machining, general graphite processing and material handling equipment
  • Working knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well without close supervision
  • Effective decision-making skills
  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills
  • Strong math and statistical process control skills
  • Must be able to encourage and foster teamwork, including the ability to persuade others
