We have an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Goodyear, AZ manufacturing location.

Summary:

Responsible for the development, implementation, and support of manufacturing systems, processes, and procedures in a manner consistent with lean principles within a steel fabrication, welding, material handling, machining, and paint environment.

Responsibilities/Principal Duties:

• Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in an industrial environment.
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, assembly processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, and quality control standards.
• Analyzes space requirements and workflow for maximum efficiency.
• Confers with Industrial Engineering and Design Engineering regarding product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential work/assembly instructions, workmanship standards, and process procedures.
• Identifies ways to reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Works with Design Engineers on DFX (Design for Excellence) including:
  • Design for cost
  • Design for test
  • Design for manufacturability
  • Design for assembly
• Integrates Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing and ISO methodology.
• Develops/writes manufacturing processes, procedures, work instructions, and routings.
• Incorporate specifications into design, processes, or techniques and provides feedback to capture lessons learned.

Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required, Engineering field.
• Minimum of three years experience in Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing environment.
• Greenbelt preferred.
• Experience in metal manufacturing environment preferred.
