Nordson Adhesive Dispensing Systems (ADS) sets the global standard in hot melt machines and dispensing, coating, and laminating systems. Job Summary

Use technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment. Support manufacturing teams to maintain quality and delivery of products. Support engineering team to develop and deploy new equipment for continuous improvement.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adjust robot pick points of automated assembly/welding machines
  • Adjust vision system program settings to maintain quality assurance in production cells
  • Troubleshoot production test failures by evaluating program code
  • Troubleshoot automated assembly machines by evaluating PLC ladder logic
  • Deploy and verify new production equipment
  • Setup and verify CNC programs for new machined parts
  • Define preventive maintenance tasks, schedule, and in house spare parts requirements
  • Work with engineers to create and maintain robust assembly tools and processes
  • Work with value stream leaders to train assembly leads and technicians on production equipment


Education and Experience Requirements
  • Technical degree; In lieu of degree an additional 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • 1- 3 years of manufacturing experience


Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Programming - some knowledge of robot, CNC, and computer programming
  • Technical Ability - effectively apply written instructions from procedures and engineering drawings
  • Ability to Learn - apply new, job-related technical skills and programming languages in a timely manner
  • Adaptability - maintain effectiveness in a changing environment, assignments, and responsibilities
  • Reporting - use Microsoft Office programs to report PM activities and trends, test failure rates, etc.
