Position Summary

The Manufacturing Support Coordinator is responsible for interfacing between Product Development and manufacturing to support and execute activities related to new product development and the design transfer process. Responsible for tracking Product Development builds in coordination with planning across multiple facilities. Assists with administrative and clerical responsibilities as needed to support manufacturing and/or Product Development.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and tracks execution of Product Development and Manufacturing protocols
  • Coordinates and supports training to protocols, procedures, and processes
  • Tracks and coordinates with planning for Product Development and R&D manufacturing builds at the three manufacturing facilities
  • Completes, and tracks engineering sample requests. Creates supporting sample documentation (such as packing lists, commercial invoices, etc) and coordinates shipment of the samples
  • Support and/or participate in time and efficiency studies in manufacturing to evaluate scrap rates and areas for continuous improvement opportunities - utilizes Lean principles.
  • Coordinates, follows-up on, and tracks purchasing of development and related materials
  • Assists with creating Engineering Production Order Lists (POLs) as needed
  • Participates and supports meeting activities, such as creating and maintaining minutes, action item lists, and/or agendas
  • Responsible for replacing and maintaining obsolete or revised documentation on the manufacturing floor at the Mansfield, MA facility
  • Performs administrative tasks such as processing invoices and purchasing office supplies
  • Assists with collecting information from the ERP system and/or generating reports for the purposes of manufacturing, change notifications, etc.
  • Assists with customer notifications, letter distribution, etc. as needed
  • Additional tasks and administrative duties as required


Education / Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED required
  • An associates degree is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant administrative experience, or supporting/coordinating technical tasks
  • Experience working in a Lean environment is preferred
  • Experience using ERP software such as SAP is preferred
