Position Overview

CRH Americas Materials (AMAT) is seeking a Master Data Management Senior Analyst to support the newly instantiated Data Governance workstream under Data & Analytics Org. The ideal candidate will possess significant data management experience allowing them to serve as the champion for data governance ensuring that the design and integrity of Master Datasets is maintained within and across Americas Materials systems.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Uses knowledge of end-to-end processes to analyze, cleanse, and enrich master data elements.

  • Defines critical Data Quality metrics and establish a process to measure and report on them.
  • Applies/demonstrates advanced understanding of processes, procedures, and policies for MDM platform.
  • Identifies and facilitates the integration of MDM with other CRH applications to ensure data integrity across CRH systems.
  • Leads the discussions with the Data Domain owners to define & maintain relevant hierarchy structures, rules for matching, integrating with third party data to enrich the data and clean-up.
  • Troubleshoots issues related to MDM and identifies opportunities for improving data management processes.
  • Works closely with the other members of data and MDM team to ensure data integrity by coordinating data management efforts across the organization.
  • Leverages traditional and non-traditional methods to influence business to gather requirements for agile or water-fall projects and creates Functional and Technical Requirement documents, process flows, traceability matrix, etc.
  • Builds and Coordinates training for Data literacy and MDM processes across AMAT / CRH divisions.
  • Collaborates with MDM teams to define and govern key attributes for Customer / Product / Location / Vendor/ Employee / Asset data domains.
  • Gathers and synthesizes existing data governance principles, policies, practices and standards, e.g. understanding industry best practices.
  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders from Business and IT and ensure MDM enhancements are well coordinated and communicated.
  • As a SME for MDM domains, acts as liaison between the business and technical resources.
  • Ensure the solution meets the business demand.
  • Guide development, QA resource with their work.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration or related field is required.
  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Product/Project management or related role.
  • 3+ years of implementing MDM Solutions, preferably Informatica MDM.
  • Strong understanding of Data structures and relationships.
  • Strong Data analysis skills, strong in SQL.
  • Knowledgeable in technology and software development processes.
  • Strong presentation development and delivery skills.
  • Proactive and strategic thinker; able to look ahead and foresee issues and plan around them.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Fair understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) required.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Construction, and Manufacturing Domain is a huge plus.

Work Requirements

  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required up to 10%.
