Responsibilities
The MLS faculty member is directly responsible for fulfillment of Program learning outcomes as well as ensuring compliance with NAACLS accreditation standards. The MLS Faculty Member duties include but are not limited to developing and teaching didactic and/or student laboratory courses in several subject areas; assessing student learning; coordinating clinical rotations for phlebotomy technician students; interviewing new applicants for the school; participating in recruitment events, participating in program development and continuous quality improvement; and serving as a professional role model to facilitate the development and growth of medical laboratory science students. The MLS Faculty Member is responsible for program administrative functions in the absence of the Program Director.
