Description: Our client is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to work in Gahanna, OH ASAP!!

Job Details

Location: Gahanna, OH

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Type of Engagement: Contract to hire

Specific Duties:
1. Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment

2. Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKGs

3. Administer injections and collect specimen

4. Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software

5.Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork

6. Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures

Qualifications/experience:

1. High School Diploma or GED

2. Medical Assistant Diploma

3. 1+ Year Recent Primary Care Experience

4. 1+ Year Recent Phlebotomy Experience

5. 1+ Year Recent Medication Administration Experience (Vaccinations)

6. Ability to commute to the office location.

7. Must obtain certification prior to conversion
