Scope of Role:
Location: Kissimmee, FL
Hours: M-F 8am to 5pm
Job Engagement: Contract
Job Description:
Medical Assistants play a crucial role in patient care by assisting healthcare providers in various tasks. They follow through on provider orders for treatments and ensure smooth clinical operations. Here are the key responsibilities:
- Take patients' vital signs (such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature).
- Conduct blood draws for lab tests.
- Perform X-rays (if certified).
- Assist with other medical procedures as needed.
- Medical Assistants typically hold certification or are actively working toward it.
- They stay updated on best practices and guidelines related to patient care.
- Oversee day-to-day clinical care of patients.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during visits.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Limited work experience required.
- Perform simple tasks following established procedures.
- Seek guidance from colleagues when necessary.
- Work is reviewed by others.
- Apply knowledge and skills to routine activities.
- Demonstrate a minimum depth of expertise in their function.
- Respond to standard requests promptly.
- Seek assistance for non-standard situations.
- Solve routine problems using established procedures.
- Collaborate within a team.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- Medical Assistant Certification
