Our continued dedication to clinical excellence, focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and generous employee offerings, such as our competitive benefits package, allow our professionals to build an exciting career as we all work together to positively impact the health of our patients. Bring your talent to MGB Community Physicians and find out just how far it can take you!

The Team

Founded over forty years ago as Lincoln Physicians, we continue to honor our founders' legacy by delivering compassionate, dedicated, personal health care. We are thrilled to be providing primary care services at our new, state-of-the-art location at 80 Beharrell Street in West Concord, Massachusetts. As a Family Medicine office, we provide physical examinations, routine health screenings, and preventative care for all ages, from infants through adults (we are actively expanding our pediatric services).

We pride ourselves on having a close-knit, highly collaborative team. Our providers and experienced team members genuinely enjoy mentoring and training on the job, so we are willing to invest in and support our new hires to set them up for long-term success. Skills and competencies can be developed, so we look for moldable candidates with positive attitudes, emotional intelligence, and passion for this work. Whether you are seeking to gain experience in the healthcare industry or a proven healthcare professional seeking a new challenge, there is a place for you in our practice.

Did we mention that we have free parking and that we're only 0.2 miles from the Commuter Rail?

The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support our practice onsite Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Dedicated to clinical support as true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants are trained to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the multidisciplinary care team. While we ideally aim to have our clinical support staff members working 1:1 with an assigned provider, they do cross-cover, rotate, and collaborate with various providers to develop their skills, expose them to different styles, and expand their clinical knowledge.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office (each provider sees up to 12 patients per day)
  • Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, phlebotomy, and treatments as directed)
  • Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to panel management (general patient guidance, test results, prescription refills, coordination of care, etc. - we have a nursing team to handle true phone triage!)
  • Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
  • Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is strongly preferred.
  • Medical Assistant experience, specifically with Primary Care (Family Medicine/Pediatrics) strongly preferred.
  • National Medical Assistant certification with one of the following organizations preferred:
    • American Assoc. of Medical Assistants (AAMA) - Credential: CMA
    • American Medical Technologists (AMT) - Credential: RMA
    • National Healthcare Association (NHA) - Credential: CCMA
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) - Credential: NCMA
(Please Note: National Medical Assistant Certification will be required within six months of hire)
