Job Summary
The Medical Illustrator will work alongside the iEXCEL Visualization Team to support the development of medical training and real-time instructional applications for medical care providers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create assorted illustrations, models, and animations (both in 2D and 3D) for our various medical efforts, which will be used to represent injuries and wounds in training applications
- Work in small project-oriented groups of studio members and subject matter experts to build working prototypes of medical tools and training systems
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of typography, color, grid, and composition in pixel-perfect production mocks and prototypes
- Work in a highly collaborative fashion with the design, product, and project teams
- Other duties assigned as needed
Skills and Abilities
- Submission of a portfolio of work (images of 3 to 5 pieces) is a requirement
- Familiarity with human anatomy and biological principles
- Demonstrated capability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment
Education and/or Experience
- Currently have or working toward a degree in Medical Illustration
- Experience with digital illustration and computer animation
