Description:
The Membership Services Specialist responsibilities include managing the welcome desk operations and providing excellent customer service.
We have several shifts available that may be of interest to you: Monday through Friday 4pm-8pm, Saturday 8am to 5pm, and Sunday 8am to 5pm.

I. Position Summary:

The Membership Services Specialist responsibilities include managing the welcome desk operations and providing excellent customer service.

II. Position Responsibilities:

Greet check-in and assist all members, potential members and staff in a courteous, professional and friendly manner. Be enthusiastic towards members by learning their names and expressing an interest in their fitness activities. Provide support with new member sign-ups, process new member key fobs and issue guest passes

Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all programs and facilities to answer questions and make suggestions that match member goals.

Provide tours to prospective members and answer questions, explain rates, policies, procedures, and benefits. Provide tours that encompass the full member experience which highlights member/staff connections and a supportive atmosphere.

Conduct follow-up phone calls to new members (after 30, 60, 90 days), and prospective members who have toured but not yet joined.

Answer the telephone, provide requested information, direct calls and take accurate messages. Handle potential new member phone inquiries.

Help nurture the member experience by introducing members to each other and to staff members. Be a "Relationship Builder."

Provide exceptional customer service at all times. Respond to members' needs. Contact appropriate personnel when necessary. Enforce facility policies and procedures and adherence to code of conduct.

Accurately manage daily cash drawer.

III. Position Requirements:

Minimum Education:

  • Preferred:High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education.

Minimum Experience:

Required:Less than one year of previous job-related experience.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience..

Licensure/Certifications:
  • Other: CPR/First Aid Training completed within 90 days of hire.
