Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Manage a team of 10 Century Merchandisers executing Century Division priorities in the MA market.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Meeting/Exceeding specific monthly goals for Diageo Activation Brands and Brand Standards
  • Organization, time management, the ability to multi-task
  • Effectively communicate and delegate divisional merchandising priorities to the division
  • Present the Training & Development series building a culture of sales capabilities
  • Execute Supplier market surveys - organize teams, develop survey routes, delegate and execution on merchandising objectives in each survey account.
  • Manage Delivery and Merchandiser Schedules supporting Century Execution
  • Meet or Exceed GO SPOT Results
  • Meet or Exceed Cross-Mark Goals


ADMINISTRATION / MEETINGS:
  • KRONOS Time Sheet Management
  • Monthly Merchandiser team meetings to recap/prepare for the months' activities/priorities.
  • Attend Monthly Century Manager Sales Meetings presenting monthly Merchandiser priorities.
  • Quarterly General Sales Meetings delivering pertinent Merchandising Information
  • Monthly merchandising update to the Century Playbook on Airwatch
  • Quarterly Trade Development Meeting attendance with merchandising market updates
  • Manage T&E expense budget
  • Organize on-board orientations for new hires


POS MANAGEMENT:
  • Weekly monitoring of the merchandising teams Perma-Trak usage
  • Monthly discussions with suppliers regarding ad-hoc POS & market needs.
  • Monthly POS quantities and organization of POS with the warehouse manager
  • Monthly summary of Supplier POS procurement to the sales force.
  • Quarterly Supplier Meetings discussing annual POS Procurement.
  • Quarterly POS purge leaving no out of date POS in the warehouse
  • Quarterly Management inventory of Century Division POS via Perma Trak
  • Quarterly merchandiser incentives driving Century Initiatives.


OFF PREMISE SAMPLING PROGRAMS:
  • Support the sales teams on effective in-store tastings POS install, window signs and display.


GRAPHIC ARTS DEPARTMENT:
  • Proficiency in utilizing the Graphic Art Department for Feature Pricing and Branding in Key Accounts, Survey Execution and Bulk division priorities.
  • Provide assistance whenever necessary to sales force with special Graphic Art Projects.
  • Manage Graphic Art Expenditures and ensure proper bill backs where appropriate.
  • Submit graphic arts projects for sales merchandisers when requested.


Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Communicate the strategic merchandising goals to the Division.
  • Execute through the merchandising team displays, activation brands, brand standards
  • Ability to contribute new ideas and processes to stimulate account growth.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a high achiever
  • Advanced Competency with Microsoft including Excel Word, PowerPoint, Outlook


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
  • 2-4 years of industry experience
  • Four year undergraduate degree in Business or Marketing or related discipline
  • Excellent selling/marketing skills and relationship management skills.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:
  • Able to lift and/or move 30 pounds up to 60 pounds repetitively
  • Work requires frequent standing or walking throughout the work day
  • Work requires considerable mental concentration to effectively execute complex tasks requiring periods of focused mental and visual concentration
  • Work requires travel and exposure to weather conditions while visiting customers, prospects or vendors
  • Potential for accidents due to over the road travel including traffic accidents, delivery of goods or the set up of display
