Job Summary

Responsible for the overall performance of a group of facilities, including the economic performance. Oversees the gas gathering systems of those facilities. Translates the DCP 2020 framework and associated initiatives to the teams in their areas of responsibility.

What you will be responsible for

  • Directs the safe operation and maintenance of the gas compressor stations and gathering systems to ensure maximum throughput and profitability through optimum use of facilities and manpower.
  • Maintains responsibility for personnel safety and loss prevention to facilities in the asset.
  • Prepares and recommends annual operating and capital budgets for facilities.
  • Implements cost containment measures and oversee operating assets within budget constraints.
  • Directs the construction, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of field facilities and equipment.
  • Maintains compliance with maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Directs the management of capital projects, gas measurement/settlement activities, the improvement of field and plant efficiencies and facility reliability; as well as equipment and engineering design/modifications.
  • Negotiates and approves routine construction contracts, job authorizations and purchase of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provides leadership on performance improvement initiatives as applicable for the asset.
  • Works closely with Commercial team on optimization of assets and new acquisition opportunities.
  • Supervises exempt supervisors with direct responsibility for the gathering systems, including craft support employees.
  • Gathers system experience.
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • 5 years of supervisory and operations experience with additional 5 year\'s industry-related experience.
  • Has valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Willing to work overtime and handle call-outs.
  • Has strong employee development and team building skills, and project management skills and experience.
  • Maximizes innovation and technology.
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of Process Safety Management processes.
  • Has experience with work order management system such as Maximo.
  • Understands Invoice approval process.
  • Uses knowledge of company properties, policies and processes.
  • Understands budget and cost control.
  • Has good communication and presentation skills, and strong analytical abilities.
  • Has strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to be work in a team environment.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
  • Able to analyze situations and use critical thinking to determine solutions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Special Demands
  • This job primarily operates in an office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel may be required as this job operates both inside gas plant conditions as well as outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. Regularly stoops, squats, kneels and crouches for durations up to 3 minutes. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the gas plant. Occasionally exerts pulling force of 130 pounds. Frequently may lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. May occasionally climb A-frame ladders.
