Our Life & Safety Product Technology Group is currently seeking a Mgr, Software Engineering for our Longmont office located at 1601 Dry Creek Drive, however this role will work remotely due to the current pandemic, but is expected to return to the office in mid July.

Manages, provides leadership, change management, and budgets for teams performing development, design and system enhancement for agile development teams. Develops goals and expectations, delegation of tasks, and provides strategic guidance to cross-functional teams to identify and produce recommendations based on business needs and opportunities.

Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leading an agile team of cross-functional skills including Software Developers, QA, Data Engineers, Architects, DevOps Engineers
• Monitor the activities associated with writing quality code based on given requirements and deadlines, ensuring consistency in methods
• Define and oversee the activities involved in thoroughly testing and implementing programs and / or systems
• Participate in researching new products and development tools, keeping up-to-date on industry trends
• Coach, develop, and mentor subordinates to achieve quality performance while continuing to develop personal management skill necessary to handle unique management challenges
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field required, however equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience and Skills

• 5 or more years in Software Engineering, QA Engineering, DevOps or a related field required
• Prior experience leading or managing a cross-functional, agile team
• Past experience in moving on-premise applications to the cloud (AWS preferred)
• Background in technical operations and deployments (network, systems administration, database, etc.) are preferred
• SAFe experience is preferred, but not required

The expected compensation for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 for candidates located in Colorado and will commensurate with experience.
