Guy Carpenter is looking for a great leader for our Client Services area in our Edina, MN offices.

As the North America Mid-West Regional Manager, you will be accountable for the efficient and effective operational leadership of our Client Support Services (CSS) Technical Processing teams located primarily in Edina, Minnesota.. You will lead and inspire a multi-team department of approximately five managers and 60 colleagues to execute our strategy and achieve its operational goals. Your organizational savvy will allow you to navigate a large matrixed organization and partner with key stakeholders across business functions including Broking, Broking Support Services and other CSS regional and global offices to deliver solutions to our clients.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of Client Service operations including claims and premium processing for the Region. You can expect to engage with Senior Leadership by contributing to the formation and execution of Global CSS strategic objectives. Ensuring operational excellence is met by partnering with cross-functional & cross-regional teams to future-proof the CSS organization, enabling us to adopt new ways of working in response to changing client and market needs.

We will rely on you to:

  • Setting clear goals and operating expectations, coaching CSS team managers that report directly to you and their technicians to achieve goals and their full potential against our SLAs
  • Manage the end to end processing of cash, premiums and claims, ensuring proper documentation, assessment, and settlement in accordance with contractual agreements
  • Develop operational strategies to meet or exceed our Fiduciary metrics (Cash Processing, Retentions, Funding, Brokerage) and operational service level agreements
  • Analyze and deploy information regarding key operational metrics to determine areas of strength and opportunity. Leverage insights to drive awareness within the teams and influence outcomes
  • Manage regional budget planning and resource allocation
  • Analyze and resolve client specific issues, using your technical expertise to develop client-focused solutions
  • Drive operational excellence and efficiency through standardized global processing. Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement, system enhancement, and task management in order to make continuous improvements
  • Build and foster strong relationships with broking and functional team leaders to better understand and service client needs
  • Build and engage your regional team by recruiting and retaining a team of colleagues dedicated to the business strategy and their contribution to the team's results. Provide guidance and coaching to team leaders on staffing and redistribution of work to maintain high service levels
What you need to have:
  • Good understanding of operational excellence with the ability to coach colleagues to implement strategies and manage change
  • Strong knowledge of technical/functional insurance and reinsurance concepts including fiduciary, claims and premium processing.
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of market practices within our technical domain areas
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with clients, markets, and colleagues
  • Experience leading hybrid teams, across multiple countries
  • Strong leader with effective communication and influencing skills. Transformative in thinking and practical in execution
