As an MIS Technician, you will provide technical assistance to Kerr employees. You'll utilize outstanding customer service as you assist with the management and maintenance of computers, network, and telecommunications infrastructure. While there is an in-person training period and some responsibilities require a physical presence, much of the work can be completed either in the office or remotely.

Essential Duties

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal technical support
  • Manage support requests within ticketing system
  • Provide deployment of hardware and software, including computer and telecommunication equipment
  • Implement security updates and patches
  • Support virus protection and removal
  • Support network & communication environment
  • Repair/replace hardware at all Kerr locations
  • Troubleshoot desktop applications
  • Organize computers and software

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or business technology; or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated appropriate customer service attitudes
  • Ability to relate well to people and work in cooperation with others to effectively coordinate activities in order to accomplish tasks
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • One year experience with computer repairs
  • Microsoft desktop application expertise; one year professional support in Microsoft Suite plus Windows 10 preferred
  • Microsoft network administration experience, preferred
