Mold Maintenance Technician (2nd shift)
Summary
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on molds, correcting mold defects, and completing required documentation. Work hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required by management.
- Diagnoses and completes mold repairs in the Tool Shop and on the Production floor in accordance with the mold condition report.
- Performs preventative maintenance as required.
- Completes all required documents, including mold condition reports, mold spare parts report, and enters the data into the BDE system.
- Assists in training and directing Apprentices to meet production goals and learning objectives.
- Responsible for the care of mold components during all aspects of mold disassembly and assembly.
- Associate's degree in a Mechanical Science from a two-year college or technical school; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of metal polishing and mold electrical wiring.
- Ability to use various types of hand tools.
- Working knowledge of the metric measurement system.
