Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a National Sales Specification Representative to join our team in our remote market.

Summary:

This position is responsible for driving primary demand for Commercial Roof Restoration from the Architects, Engineers, Consultants and Contractors through the value chain in conjunction with the Technical Sales team to project close to capture maximum value for Henry, a Carlisle Company and its customers. This is accomplished by following a sales process that is project centric beginning in the design phase and results in a Henry preferential specification, specifically with building owners.

Additional value is created by providing training sessions for the AEC community, presenting at technical seminars and technical support in the selection and specification of our commercial roofing restoration systems. Recording and actively tracking opportunities using our CRM and sharing timely opportunities with other members of the Technical Sales team will be an important part of the role.

The ideal candidate will have a building science and construction background, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the industry. Excellent presentation and communication skills and computer literacy are essential, plus you must be able to interact within a team environment. Demonstrated experience and accreditation in an associated discipline, ability to effectively track projects through the specification and bidding stage, and ability to read and create construction details will be considered assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ability to rapidly grow institutional and commercial sales and achieve year over year growth thereafter.
* Persuade design/architectural community on the value propositions of roof restoration to drive product and system sales.
* Ownership of the 'spec-to-ship' process, interfacing closely with the architectural and consulting community to drive a higher level of specified sales for roof foam and restoration.
* Manage relationships throughout multiple levels of the construction process (Owner, Architect, Consultant and Contractor) to ensure our value proposition is clearly understood and leveraged.
* Disciplined approach to market segmentation and time management.
* Interfacing closely with key customers to strengthen and grow existing relationships, while also driving significant prospecting initiatives to generate new customer relationships.

Travel:

* This role is home based. Travel is expected approximately 30% of the time.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
* The employee must be able to access roofs by climbing a ladder
* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Education and/or Experience:

* Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent experience
* Experience in the building materials industry, (roofing and/or roof coatings preferred)
* Ability to develop, interpret and create 3-part technical specifications.
* 10 years sales experience fostering strong partnerships with the building owner, AEC and contractor community.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Developing and delivering AIA/CES, HSW, WELL and LEED-CE presentations.
* Understanding of ESG/Sustainability drivers.
* Experience with new product and system innovation launches.
* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of; MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook. CRM software (Salesforce.com) is preferred.
