Partners closely with the Diagnostics, C&S (Corporate & Specialty) and SGT teams to develop and execute pricing and promotion strategies, along with novel NRM initiatives to improve net revenue. Supports the NRM Head and helps guide Analyst to develop hypotheses, finance models, tools, and analyses to support data-driven recommendations to BUs (Business Unit). Works closely with the function business leaders to enable and influence the broader organization to adopt NRM principles and approach.
Develop strategy and helps guide analyses to inform pricing and promotion activities for Diagnostics BUs (core activities including GtN (Gross to Net) price management, MAP/MSRP pricing, discounts, seasonal promotions, contracting)
- Develop understanding of key products and strategies to brands to inform annual strategic priorities
- Partner with Diagnostics, C&S and SGT teams to brainstorm and align pricing and promotion strategies with NRM principles
- Frame and support ad-hoc analyses and provide BUs with data-driven recommendations to inform decisions
Ideate and shape novel opportunities and approaches to optimize net revenue
- Develop financial modelling to support GtN management to instil revenue principles
- Partner with marketing teams to brainstorm and pitch NRM opportunities
- Support colleagues to shape hypotheses and analyses to test and prove concepts
- Leverage analyses and functional input to influence BU (Business Unit) prioritization of initiatives
Ensure reliable tracking, reporting and governance of Net Revenue management performance
- Identify metrics and shape methodology to track BU Net Revenue and GtN performance
- Structure BU NRM reports and updates to leadership
- Establish SOP (Standard Operating Process) and Governance metrics to avoid loss of revenue or incompliance
- Find areas of opportunity and propose levers to the BU to improve revenue performance
Ideate, guide, and refine analytics and tools to support key NRM objectives and tasks
- Find opportunities to further leverage analytic tools to enhance NRM processes
- Collaborate with NRM Analyst/Bus. Analytics team to create and enhance analytics and tools
Enable and educate counterparts across organization in Net Revenue Management discipline
- Identify key capability gaps throughout respective BUs
- Work with L&D unit to define and build curriculum to address capability gaps
- Hold NRM educational sessions to raise visibility of key topics and embed the NRM philosophy
Organization Relationships
- Support colleague development, including building new capabilities
- Partners closely with sales, marketing, and service teams
- Closely collaborates with Finance, NGSE (Next Generation Sales Engine), Business Analytics, Business Operations, Customer Experience teams
Education and Experience
- Bachelors in finance, economics, math, engineering, computer science or equivalent is strongly preferred; MBA or advanced degree a plus
- Experience (2+ years) working in commercial functions (sales, marketing, brand management), consulting supporting commercial development or in commercial function support role preferred
- 8+ years pricing experience
Technical Skills RequirementsRequired
- Strategic problem-solving and ability to drive creative solutions in a complex environment
- Ability to build close working relationships and drive data-driven recommendations and decisions with internal teams (e.g., marketing, finance)
- Analytical background; able to understand and manage complex analytics
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence without authority
- Ability to simultaneously manage and pivot between multiple projects, pilots and tests
- Understanding of relevant accounting principles and their implications on Gross to Net calculations and reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of quantitative languages including SQL (or similar programming language)
Preferred
- Experience and facility with strategic pricing and consumer behavior concepts
- Formal project management or process improvement experience
Desirable
- Knowledge of animal health and /or Agri-Marketing
- Familiarity with advanced analytics tools such as Tableau
- Proficiency in analysis packages (e.g., R, Matlab), or programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
