Facebook is looking for a Manager for our Edge & Network Services (ENS) Data Center Global Field Support team. This global team offers a unique career opportunity to work with all of the latest network technologies and talented engineers solving some of the most complex problems in the industry. For this role, we are looking for a Network Manager with solid experience in cable infrastructure and fiber connectivity solutions, including the design, engineering, and build of complex telecommunications systems, data centers and optical transport networks. <ul><li>Manage a team of network engineers responsible for global data center design and construction support including greenfield, collocation, and retrofits.</li><li>Manage design process, deliverables and change management of design standards</li><li>Collaborate with network engineering, data center design, and data center connectivity teams to generate design standards and network infrastructure design packages</li><li>Influence data center and network designs to ensure seamless integration of new infrastructure and enable scalability</li><li>Initiate and lead strategic initiatives driving innovation and standardization of our data centers</li><li>Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and development of a diverse team of individuals</li><li>Manage relationships with global partners, engineering teams and onsite project teams</li><li>Develop tooling and automation to drive efficiency and quality in all aspects of our work</li><li>Up to 25% of travel required based on project demand</li></ul>

<ul><li>5+ years of experience managing a technical team, with 10+ years of experience designing supporting, deploying or designing networks.</li><li>Experience with data center design, construction, and start up/commissioning processe</li><li>Experience working on structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure including design and installation best practices, and industry standards</li><li>Experience working with internet networking technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and optical transport technologies</li><li>Experience with process improvement and automating repetitive workflows with software.</li><li>Track record of solving problems, setting strategic direction, and executing tactically</li></ul>

<ul><li>Experience managing a global team in a matrixed environment with limited supervision</li><li>Experience working with on-site construction teams and managing general contractor and vendor relationships</li><li>Knowledge of data center facilities management using building management and automation systems</li><li>Knowledge of data center infrastructure management (DCIM) and physical security systems</li><li>Knowledge of inside/outside plant cable design and dark fiber builds</li><li>Data center design or relevant telecommunications certifications</li></ul>
