Job Summary: Your responsibilities are to oversee the day-to-day operation of the CCSin a manner that promotes client safety, overall health, their effective resolution of crises, and their reintegration into community based services. The Nurse Manager provides leadership in the development, implementation, operation, and ongoing quality improvement for CCS services. The CCS Nurse Manager works as a partner in an integrated urgent care/emergency support services network serving the Cape Cod community. This is an exempt position.

  • CCS Nurses

  • Mental Health Workers

Essential Functions of Position:
  • Provides regular direction and supervision for the Nurses and Mental Health Workers, interviews and hires staff as needed.
  • Oversee the clinical, behavioral, and medical treatment and course of stay for CSS clients. Ensures that medical assessment, treatment planning, interventions, and referrals are routinely documented and reviewed by staff in accordance with BCHS, DMH, MBHP, and BEST.
  • Oversee insurance authorizations, reviews, billing, utilization rate, and length of stay to meet program outcomes.
  • Oversee the completion of accurate programmatic documentation such as emergency reports, medication ordering and tracking, incident reports, and other assigned documentation.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with insurers, DMH, Cape Cod Healthcare, local community resources, and treatment/rehabilitation programs throughout the Cape Cod community.
  • Oversee financial and budgetary procedures including payroll.
  • Reviews trends of the program by developing tracking systems for utilization, completion of treatment goals, client satisfaction, number and type of incidents, and outcome measures in order to meet program goals.
  • Ensures that safety protocols are routinely reviewed and followed consistently by all staff (such as emergency systems; identification and remedy of facility safety hazards; security systems; lock up of sharps and any potential toxins; hazardous waste management; checks protocols, checking vitals protocols, etc)
  • Performs all other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor

Requirements for the position:
  • Massachusetts Licensed Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years nursing experience in the delivery of behavioral health services to adults and/or children and adolescents
  • 3 years of supervisory and managerial experience
  • Current certification in CPR
