Summary:
Performs fundamental nursing care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse; develops confidence and competence in clinical skills to facilitate transition into the role of the registered nurse after graduation; works within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients; serves as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care while adhering to all policies and procedures of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

This is a paid internship over the summer break of 2023 for Nursing Student that have an anticipated graduation date of December 2023-August 2024. The intern can work up to full time hours over their break (37.5 weekly hours) and then drop to per diem once school resumes.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

Certification
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Education and Experience
Matriculation with at least one (1) year in an approved Nursing degree program and completion of two (2) semesters of clinical experience.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have a current BLS certification.
