Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Expert Software Developer to join our NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation Team located in Albany, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Interact with agency/business subject matter experts (SME) to understand business needs/requirements, Vendors of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, and IT teams to determine and design application and system requirements.
  • Participate in the entire Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) including debugging and configuring solution.
  • Design and document all components of approved application solutions including system integrations.
  • Use TFS/GIT version control for application code and document repository.
  • Design database, create Tables, Stored procedures, Triggers, Views, Functions using T-SQL in SQL Server database.
  • Create DDL and DML scripts and migrate to lower and production database.
  • Design and develop REST APIs using .Net 6, C# to consume in a web-based business application.
  • Design and develop reports using SSRS to integrate with application.
  • Design and develop SSIS packages to automate the data extract and transfers.

Qualifications:

84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • 84 months experience in database design, create Tables, Stored procedures, Triggers, Views, Functions using T-SQL in SQL Server database.
  • 84 months experience developing complex business system using the Microsoft .NET Framework including ASP.NET 6, C#, REST and Web API and Entity Framework.
  • 60 months experience in leading design and architect entire project/application from the back end.
  • 60 months experience in design and develop complex reports using SSRS.
  • 60 months experience working with agency/business subject matter experts (SME) to understand business needs/requirements, Vendors of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, and IT teams to determine and design application and system requirements.
  • 36 months experience design and develop SSIS packages to automate the data extract and transfers.
  • 60 months experience using source code controller such as TFS/GIT.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $44.00 to $54.00
