The Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates all departmental activities to include the production of a variety of inorganic chemicals. The primary objective will be to achieve results in all areas of safety, production and quality, drive employee engagement and develop the team to continuously improve.

This Off-Shift Production Supervisor will work mainly on 2nd shift, but may be required to work a flexible schedule to allow for overlap between 1st and 3rd shift production personnel. The Off-Shift Production Supervisor will be responsible for all of the production groups on 2nd and 3rd shift.

You will have the opportunity to

  • Direct and manages production activities to meet departmental operational due dates. Maintains production schedules at the most economical cost, keeping quality at a high standard.
  • Drive accountability in the production area while influencing your team to achieve defined metrics and goals.
  • Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and adherence to plant safety policies and encouraging employees to follow sound safety practices. Ensures that employees have the necessary skills, knowledge, information, and tools to do their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Lead the implementation of improvements and corrective actions based on root causes for safety observations, material shortages, machine or equipment defects and causes for delays. Lead productivity improvements using lean tools, working closely with our operational excellence and engineering teams.
  • Reduce cost of operations by facilitating the implementation of lean manufacturing concepts, cost reductions, and continuous improvements.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering or similar field from an accredited institution preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing setting or comparable industry required
  • 1+ year experience in a lead or supervisory role required
  • Previous experience in manufacturing management or operational excellence preferred
  • Previous management experience including supervising manufacturing employees preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
