Position Summary

The Office Coordinator is the first point of contact for those seeking assistance from the office of Career Development & Opportunities (CDO) at the Sturm College of Law. In addition to handling student, employer and guest inquiries, the Office Coordinator works closely with CDO staff members regarding scheduling; facilitating logistics and preparation for programs and events; supporting stakeholder communications; and managing job postings. The position works with the CDO's employer and student databases and assists with employment data collection and entry in connection with reporting requirements.

This is an hourly, non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: greet and assist students, alumni, employers and guests; responsible for monitoring and resolving emails in the primary CDO inbox; handle and appropriately refer telephone inquiries; manage student and alumni reciprocity requests and communications
  • Job Postings: Respond to job posting requests; ensure proposed posting are compliant with CDO EEO policy; maintain/update job postings on Simplicity's job board
  • Program Coordination: Secure room assignments; calendar programs/events; schedule IT/Tech; set up Zoom links; coordinate marketing materials; order food as necessary; arrange parking for speakers/guests; coordinate day-of-program set up; track attendance
  • Administrative Support: occasional scheduling support for staff; maintain and order office supplies; process invoices and orders; maintain CDO subscription lists and vendor lists; maintain orderly office environment
  • Communications: publish CDO Weekly Jobs Email; publish CDO Blog posts (Denver Law Career Connection); update materials as needed
  • On-Campus Interviews (OCI): In collaboration with other CDO staff, register participating employers; schedule employers' interview dates; reserve interview rooms; arrange for employer refreshments; facilitate day-of logistics for in-person interviews; provide logistical support for students; facilitate collection and processing of OCI fees
  • Manage the collection and data entry of graduate employment and other related data, in compliance with applicable employment reporting requirements
  • Perform other office and administrative tasks and assist with special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma
  • One year of experience in a professional environment providing administrative or coordination support
  • A strong commitment to diversity and inclusivity
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience
  • General familiarity with the legal profession
  • Experience in a higher education environment
  • Experience using Symplicity, Banner, and/or other database systems
  • Experience facilitating event/program logistics and details
Work Schedule

This position will work 2.5 days, ideally Wednesday afternoons, Thursday (all day), and Friday (all day). Full day hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Salary Rate

The salary rate for this position is $20.00.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
