The Imaging Department has an exciting opportunity for an Office Supervisor.

The Individual in this role establishes staff work schedules. Directs workflow to accommodate peak periods and resolves scheduling problems among assigned personnel. Guides, motivates, and develops subordinate employees; conducts performance evaluations for staff. Manages the office to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image. Supervises and coordinates overall administrative activities for the office. Supervises the maintenance and alteration of office areas and equipment as well as layout, arrangement and housekeeping of office facilities. Negotiates the purchase of office supplies and furniture, office equipment, etc. for the entire staff in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions. Supervises the maintenance of office equipment, including copier, fax machine, etc. Manages the day-to-day operations of the facility (such as recycling, changing light bulbs, heat problems, water problems, general repairs in the department, cube problems, etc.) and works with Facilities Management to have identified concerns addressed. Participates as needed in special department projects. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Associate's degree in related field

Certification and Licensing:

N/A

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
