JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oilfield Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As an Oilfield Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functioning and reliability of our equipment in the oilfield. Your primary responsibility will be to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct repairs on various mechanical systems and equipment. Location: Kenedy, TX

Schedule: Mon-Friday, no rotation. Per our client, this is a locally based schedule that permits returning home every night and requires candidates to live within a 50-mile radius. Therefor no provisions for man-camps or housing per diem are provided. If you are open to relocating or have your own travel trailer, please confirm this in your resume. It's important to note that relocation expenses will not be covered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures the successful ongoing operations and maintenance of facilities.

• Responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance work at production and support facilities.

• Ensures the daily work status is captured and next day's schedule is reviewed and communicated with appropriate personnel.

• May communicate with service providers to ensure their availability to meet the schedule needs.

• Ensures work plans are completed in a safe and timely manner.

Routine Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance tasks on oilfield equipment, including but not limited to pumps, compressors, generators, and drilling machinery.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and identify mechanical issues, utilizing both manual and diagnostic tools to assess problems and determine effective solutions.

Repair and Overhaul: Conduct repairs and overhauls on equipment components, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Equipment Inspection: Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems and ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.

Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and field operators, to address mechanical issues and improve overall equipment performance.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Entry level, typically 0-3 years of experience.

• Provides technical and/or administrative support.

• Demonstrates the ability to learn terminology, applications and standard procedures for performing the job function.

• Performs routine, basic office/field tasks using established procedures.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications in mechanical maintenance or related fields are preferred.

Experience: Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic in an oilfield or related industry. Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in an industrial setting.
Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and performing physically demanding tasks.

Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration with team members and reporting.
