RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of an OLTP/Data Engineer in Orlando, FL.Summary:The Database Engineer will be working with the Data Warehouse Architect and OLTP Transactional Engineers on designing and delivering solutions that would enhance the Company's Data Service's needs. The ideal candidate will be experienced Microsoft/TSQL, SSIS with the ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of transactional systems, data warehouse systems and ETL processes. This person should be open-minded and flexible and prepared to work in a very dynamic, online ecommerce environment, supporting multiple business departments with operational reporting requests in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of ETL tool (SSIS, Informatica, Datastage, Talend) experience
• At least 3-4 years of experience in data design modeling, ETL, Microsoft/TSQL and Microsoft SQL Server Integration experience
• Experienced in development of T-SQL scripts, Other variants of SQL languages a plus
• Well versed in normalization/de-normalization techniques for optimum performance in relational and dimensional database environments
• Strong analytical skills
• Skills in OLTP/OLAP design and development
• Understanding of multi-dimensional cubes and reports
• Skills in performance tuning and query optimization
• Experienced in ETL processes leveraging Change Tracking or Change Data Capture technologies
• Ability to design and develop reports using SSRS/Tableau/MicroStrategy
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with clear understanding of business process flow
• Knowledge and experiences in developing and deploying ETL processes to transfer data from various sources and combine them into a unified data store
• PowerShell
• Python
• Upgrade the stack every 2-3 years, upcoming upgrade year
• MongoDB
• Very high transaction role, high-volume
• API work, Cloud Work, Database pipelines, scripting
• Self-starter
• Must be willing to participate in an -on call- rotation

Nice-to-have

• * Experience with Windows PowerShell, .Net Core, Python, Go a plus
• AWS/Azure cloud based data solutions a plus
• UNIX/Linux command knowledge a plus
