Job Description

Responsible for providing technical support to both internal and external customers of the site, as well as, the branch. Assists Account Managers, Technical Service Representatives, Project Managers, etc. at other branches within Veolia to identify, price, and approve waste that can be safely disposed of at Veolia. Responsible for providing technical assistance to brokers and direct generators. Coordinates transshipment of cylinders that are not processable by acquiring pricing and approvals from other facilities. Assists with training of other department personnel. Responsible for completing pricing quotes for Branch customers and updating the system with current information.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinate and provide technical support and assistance in response to sales, client and customer service needs with special emphasis on cylinders.

2. Provide cylinder approvals, as required.

3. Identify opportunities to improve facility productivity and safety of cylinder processing.

4. Provide overall direction to the facility of long-term cylinder pricing strategy to support the site based on market indicators.

5. Coordinate the returns of rejected material; cooler boxes, pipe bombs, etc., including manifest preparation, as required, in a timely manner.

6. Coordinate the facility cylinder return procedures, including the gathering of site inventory and tracking information.

7. Obtain outbound approvals at alternate facilities, as required.

8. Provide guidance and assistance to operational personnel on cylinder processing procedures to ensure that appropriate procedures are followed.

9. Develop preliminary proposals and sales quotes, as determined by the specifications supplied by the Branch sales personnel, finalize prior to presentation to customers, process sales related quotes and correspondence in the timeframe requested by sales and/or the customer.

10. Perform customer and quote tracking as directed by Branch sales.

11. Review Branch job packets to ensure the required data is in the appropriate systems to ensure data flows through the holding tank and billing processes smoothly and in a timely manner.

12. Contact Branch customers and field crews on an 'as needed' basis regarding specific job-related requirements, obtaining additional information and ensuring satisfaction and job quality.

13. Obtain new waste profiles, with respect to customer preference, technology, cost and facility approval, as determined by Branch sales. Update all computer systems, as required.

14. Price WIPs/Approvals, as required, to ensure accuracy of billing Branch invoices. 1 Standard JD Template Revised Date: August 2019

15. Assist with witness burns, tours, and audits, as required.

16. Interact with Staff and Supervisor positions to advance site objectives and improve operations.

17. Communicate to sales and customers the changes that are taking place at the facility with emphasis on waste conformance and WAP changes.

18. Contact Branch customers on an 'as needed' basis regarding specific job-related requirements, obtaining additional information, and ensuring satisfaction and job quality.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

● Bachelor of Science or Engineering

● Knowledge of continuous process operations.

● Knowledge of the operation of incinerators and other fuel oil-fired equipment.

● Knowledge of chemical processing with excellent communication skills.

● Experienced in Sales or Customer Service disciplines.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

● Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office

● Strong team player

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

● Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines

● Strong customer orientation

Required Certification / Licenses / Training

● OSHA HAZWOPER Certification
