Basic Function

The role resides within the Global Asset Integrity & Turnaround organization. The Outage Center of Excellence (COE) Manager is a global role that leads the center of excellence for site outages, assist with stage gates and implementation of outages, assist with coordinates resources for outages as needed, provide outage process assurance, coaches and advises outage managers, outage management teams, and company leaders with regard to outages globally. This role coordinates across regions, drives improvements, optimization efforts, supports HSE & operations process, tools, and resources. This role will require business travel to sites globally across the company for the preparation and assurance of outages.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to enable the organization to achieve GoalZero HSE performance
  • Develop and provide leadership to drive site adoption of the Outage Excellence Model requirements
  • Charter and leads the outage professional network
  • Collaborate, assist, and coordinate closely with site maintenance managers and leaders concerning outage support
  • Develop and manages the outage assurance processes
  • Responsible for project assurance 15 - 50 outages annually (assurance of readiness and quality for a portfolio of outages with a value of $80MM - $120MM annually)
  • Lead / coordinates contractor outage support resources
  • Develops, manages, leads, and assist with outage improvement efforts
  • Communicates status, key performance indicators and metrics

Min. Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field is preferred.

Work Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in a process plant or comparable environment is required. 10 or more years of prior turnaround / project experience and 5 years of management experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities
• Exceptional analytical skills to effectively evaluate system performance, troubleshooting and mastery of continuous process improvement tools
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with and relate complex concepts/issues with all levels
• Excellent leadership, mentoring and team work skills with the ability to effectively transfer technical expertise to less experienced turnaround professionals
• Administrative acumen and expertise

Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. SAP, Primavera, Tableau, and Archer skills preferred.

Travel:
10% - 25% travel within North America and Europe required.
