Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing training to packagers in packaging techniques, equipment operations, computer terminal transactions, and department & governmental regulations. It is also responsible for 100% accuracy of the product.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assign work as delegated by supervisor
  • Train and direct employees to operate and maintain equipment to meet production, GMP, and safety standards
  • Communication between shifts on issues related to production needs
  • Monitor Lean Manufacturing product flows and reallocation of resources as needed
  • Responsible for training the operators in packaging techniques and equipment operations
  • Responsible for receiving and recording the product into and out of the department.
  • Maintain the packaging set-up sheet file
  • Receive labels and labeling, packages the products, supervise the operations, complete the control documents, report labor and materials, assign priorities for packaging the product, and communicate with other departments.

Expected Areas of Competence
  • Must have knowledge of packaging equipment, (i.e. Cavity sealers, heat sealers) and capable of performing minor maintenance as required.
  • Must have strong knowledge of clean-room procedures
  • Must be familiar with governmental labeling requirements
  • Must be able to work with people in a very confined area providing direction, and training.
Education/Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
