Position Information: The UND Print & Mail Center (PMC) is hiring a part-time Print & Mail Courier to join our team. The PMC team strives to provide quality, cost effective print and mailing services to our campus in an efficient and effective manner. You will come onboard at a crucial time, as the PMC team is reorganizing in an effort to build best practices using the right technologies to be successful. This position’s primary responsibilities are delivering campus mail, printing jobs, and other parcels, timely and accurately, across campus and providing support to the Print & Mail Center as needed.The ideal candidate will possess great attention to detail, a valid driver’s license, excellent customer service skills, meet physical job requirements, and be eager to assist with clerk duties as needed. The position reports to the Lead Mailing Specialist within the Division of Finance & Operations.Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and organized delivery records and use a handheld computer to update delivery records
Deliver copier paper and office supplies to campus departments
Demonstrate professionalism and provide excellent customer service to maintain strong customer relations
Receive and in-check packages from UPS, Federal Express and other shipping companies
Create and maintain records in the Print & Mail Center’s package tracking system for all received packages and other accountable items
Perform & document vehicle inspection monthly by checking all fluid levels, belts, lights, horn, and brakes to ensure working properly, refuel vehicle as needed
Assist with maintaining other vehicles in Print & Mail Center’s fleet
Vehicle assigned will be kept clean inside and out, and operated in a safe manner
Perform light cleaning on weekly basis of courier vehicle, inside and out
Follow work safety requirements including obeying all traffic laws
Perform weekly housekeeping in warehouse and office areas to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Attend training workshops toward present and future career development (as budget allows)
Participate in general staff meetings and contribute to the implementation of special projects when assigned
Other duties as assigned
Answer telephones and be able to provide information on all printing, mailing, and shipping matters
Assist with metering outgoing mail and be able to select the best mailing rate
Help monitor U.S Postal bulk mail area and accurately charge postage to departments utilizing Print & Mail Center’s accounting system
Aid in preparing mail as needed using the mail tabbing machine, folder, mail inserter, address printer and mailing software
Assist with monthly paper and office supply inventories
Assist in printing bindery operations, cutting, scoring, folding, saddle-stitch, drilling, collating, fan-apart padding, and GBC binding
