The School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering includes the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington and the School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI. The mission of the School is to excel and lead in education, research, and outreach spanning and integrating the full breadth of computing and information technology, including the scientific and technical core, a broad range of applications, and human and societal issues and implications.
We are excited to welcome a dynamic student intern to our team who will work with our Luddy development staff to reach annual, corporate, and major gift fundraising goals and provide quality service and stewardship to Luddy constituents.
Job Summary
The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering Office of Development and Alumni Relations is seeking a student (graduate or undergraduate) intern for Fall 2022 with the possibility of extension into Spring 2023.
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Opportunity to learn about fundraising and alumni relations within a higher education setting while gaining experience
- Assists with projects related to donor prospect research and strategy, data analysis, volunteer board management, event planning, and alumni engagement.
QualificationsEDUCATION
Required- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required- 1 year of office or administrative experience.
Preferred- Higher education experience.
SKILLS
Required
- Proficient communication skills.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism to represent the school to internal and external constituents.
- Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills.
- Highly dependable with a positive attitude
Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
