What You Will Do:

This is an acute care neurological unit that focuses on patients diagnosed related to post-op, seizures, stroke complications,and mentally altered status. You will need good time management and communication skills to provide excellent service to our patients in this fast paced environment. You will work with your team to assist with ADL's and help patients recover and be trained on the NIH stroke scale.

As an Associate with Saint Thomas Health Svcs-TN, you will have the opportunity to perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area.

Responsibilities:

• Aids with entry and exit, movement and placement of patients.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living (ADL's) such as bathing, feeding, grooming, toileting, ambulating.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
• Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Nurse Aide credential preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
