Job Summary

The Shared Services Payroll Specialist will be responsible for payroll-related processing for employees in the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and complete payroll processing of US and CA Payroll. This includes entering and maintaining employee information, hours and/or earnings for payrolls, auditing the information entered and distributing payments to employees
  • Provide final payroll reports on weekly, biweekly, and semimonthly
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities
  • Resolve escalated/complex issues that require managerial intervention or involve other process areas
  • Support audits as necessary-Internal, external, and corporate
  • Knowledge of payroll laws including knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations
  • Strong math and computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including the ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • High school diploma and 3 - 5 years of payroll experience. (Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience will be considered)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Ultipro
  • Experience with Kronos timekeeping system
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
