The Physician - Primary Care - Powder Springs, GA is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses - are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.

Facility: Wellstar Powder Springs Medical Center

Wellstar Medical Group seeking a board certified/board eligible physician for a growing Family Medicine practice of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in Powder Springs, GA.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Clinical Practice of Medicine including:
* The care of patients in outpatient setting
* The documentation of clinical care
* The documentation and tasks necessary for billing and other administrative functions
* Continuing Medical Education required to maintain licensure and Board Certification

Required for All Jobs:
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Requirements:
  • Active or eligible for a GA State Medical License
  • BC/BE Physician

Required Minimum Education:
  • A MD, DO, Degree
  • Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia
  • Applicants must have completed the necessary Residency training requisite for their given specialty and be certified or qualified for certification by their respective specialty board.

Responsible for providing primary care services to patients in the outpatient clinic setting. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday and will include after-hours call in rotation with practice providers.

Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia. Applicants must be board eligible or board certified.It is expected that applicants will possess skills commensurate with their given specialty.Applicants will be expected to show proof of competency for clinical skills applied for.
