Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as primary supervisor support on shift
• Assist Plant Supervisor in crewing and work order scheduling
• Drive Greif Quality Management System
• Drive a safety-oriented culture by ensuring established policies and procedures are followed
• Assists lines in maintaining line boards to track productivity, down time, waste and improvement opportunities
• Ensure shift is running efficiently by managing team members and work order flow
• Ability to work proficiently under intense deadlines
• Work with shipping/receiving departments to complete required orders on schedule
• Actively engage in problem solving activities related to product quality issues, corrective actions and customer concerns
• Assist the production team in making sure they have all necessary resources to effectively do their job (i.e. materials, safety items , equipment)
• Actively engage in problem solving activities with the Plant Supervisor which may include corrective actions for team members
• Capable of performing other duties assigned by management as required

Job Requirements:

• Effective problem solving and team building skills
• Ability to coach team and bring colleagues up to proficient production and quality
• Ability to work with employees in all levels
• Must be self-directed and capable of making decisions with minimum supervision
• Excellent attendance required

Physical Requirement:

• Lifting up to 30 pounds
• Visually inspecting products and employees
• Communicating with employees and management
• Stooping, bending and moving about plant for up to 12 hours per day
