Location: South Salt Lake, UT Description: Our client is currently seeking a Plant Manager on a direct hire, full time salaried basis in Salt Lake City, UT.

Ensure the safe and cost-effective operation of the assets in Salt Lake City to meet the associated business supply plans by providing leadership for the implementation and adherence to site safety, environmental, and department of transportation (DOT) policies and standards
Plan, organize and direct all aspects of plant operation including, but not limited to, production planning and execution, quality control, quality assurance, inventory accuracy, warehousing, logistics, maintenance, engineering/capital management, and site security
Provide input for and assist to implement site strategic plans to support the plant and Company goals, such as budgets, forecasts, capital plans, operating reviews, facility plans, succession planning, etc.
Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety, environmental, manufacturing, and maintenance
Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure accurate inventory (e.g., timely and accurate inventory posting, cycle counting, etc.)
Partner with key stakeholders (e.g., Supply Chain and Procurement) to ensure proper alignment and achievement of working capital targets
Site contact for changes to existing products and efficient production scale up of newly developed products
Continuously improve company cost position by championing and leading productivity improvements, cost reduction, and inventory management initiatives
Represent company interest in the community, including media contact, and maintain relations and influence with the regulatory and legislative community:
City of Salt Lake City, Planning and Zoning, Engineering and Right of Way, and the Building Department;
City of Salt Lake City, Police & Fire Department for building access, fire systems, and advance warnings
EPA for secondary containment
EPA Clean Air Authority o EPA Notice of Construction permits for air emissions •
Consistently lead the people at the plant to higher standards by facilitating their development and professional growth and ensuring leadership and technical talent base for the future •
