SUMMARY

The PMO Analyst will work in the Program Management Office (PMO) in support of business, technology and Public Health partners and healthcare groups. This position provides day-to-day support for PMO business operation functions, reporting and analysis activities on large and complex data and health system modernization initiative for our client, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The successful candidate will play a significant role in providing increased real-time public health decision-making and world-class data and analytical capabilities for the public health workforce. The PMO Analyst provides planning support and translating business needs into product requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs initial issue triage for program support tools.

Develops and maintains project plans, estimations, specifications, flowcharts and presentations.

Conducts regular project reviews and communicates the status of projects in both a formal and informal setting.

Communicates the project status throughout the project lifecycle to all team members.

Provides regular and timely feedback to team members and clients.

Identifies and resolves issues that may negatively impact a project or project deliverables.

Seeks innovative ways to remove project obstacles.

Provides continuous improvement by re-engineering of processes to ensure quality and efficiency.

Performs work independently with little or no direct supervision.

Demonstrates strong analytical skills to examine systems and processes and extrapolate solutions after reviewing data that provides ways to improve or enhance internal processes.

Experience with scheduling, planning and facilitating all iteration planning, cadence and demonstration meetings.

Supports the development, review, analysis, and documentation of new and enhanced system documents including SOPs, templates, plans, manuals, workflows, and other guidance documentation.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in business related field and/or equivalent professional work experience. A minimum of five (5) years' of experience with analysis of IT processes; re-engineering of processes to improve efficiency and quality. Experience with Agile methodologies. Experience developing and creating project plans that display project milestones in accordance with EPLC and PMP governance guidelines.

Tracks record of success in supporting complex, large-scale technology initiatives, preferably for a federal customer.

Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Professional Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project.

Knowledge/experience with Jira Confluence.

Excellent oral, written, presentation and communication skills.

Excellent facilitation and collaboration skills.

Proven ability to take ownership of deliverables and drive successful execution.

Ability to negotiate with peers and senior leaders to come to an agreed upon and productive solution to business problems.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
